Is the launch trailer going to spoil anything

Genuine planning question rather than a general anxiety post.

Launch trailers for story games have a bad record. They are cut to sell rather than to protect, and they frequently include shots from the back half of the game because those are the best looking ones.

Rockstar's own record here is better than most. But if there is a launch trailer in early November, is it safe? Has anyone got a view based on what they did for previous releases?

their launch trailers have historically been safe. they cut them from the first act and from stuff already shown, which is not what most publishers do

The thing to actually avoid is the week after the launch trailer, not the trailer itself. That is when the reaction economy runs on it lol

the risk is not the trailer its the two hundred videos reacting to the trailer with a thumbnail of the one frame you did not want

Watch it on their site on the day it goes up, then leave. That is the same advice as everything else and it keeps being the answer.
