Keep seeing it mentioned as returning. I gather it is a camera thing but I do not know if it is a photo mode, a social feature, or something the story uses.
Also people keep saying the protagonists do not post their photos, which implies that posting is a thing you can do. Do I need to understand this before launch or will the game explain it?

Worth knowing that in previous games the photo system turned into a whole hobby for a section of the community. You can ignore it entirely or lose fifty hours to it.
