been thinking about this since the description thread. if the game is tracking what kind of criminal you are, does that feed into the police response at all
like would a player who has been careful and quiet for thirty hours get a different reaction to a player who has been setting fire to things since hour one. that would be the single best use of that system and nobody has mentioned it
If that is how it works then this is the most integrated design they have ever shipped and none of it was explained on screen.

How the world regards you generally would presumably include the police, since they are part of the world. That is an inference and a fairly safe one.
thats exactly it. not the police reacting harder, the world reporting you faster. that is where the profile would actually bite
The version of this I want is that a quiet player gets the benefit of the doubt for slightly longer before a witness calls it in, which is a tiny effect with enormous consequences.

Nothing states an interaction between the criminal profile and police behaviour. The profile has been described in terms of how the world regards you generally.
Which connects the profile, the witness system and the description into one loop rather than three separate features.
