The 2002 game had a box set of the radio stations and it is one of the reasons that soundtrack is lodged in so many people's heads. You could own it.
Modern licensing makes that much harder, and V never got a full equivalent. With fourteen tracks already public from the Extended Look and a much larger licensed catalogue presumably behind it, has anything been said about a release?
A curated playlist on a streaming service is the modern version and it is not the same product. You are renting somebody else's ordering of the songs.
Fourteen tracks are already public, so a partial release at launch is at least plausible. A full station by station set is almost certainly not.
Fair point well made... I own the 2002 soundtrack and I will never own this one and I had not connected those two things.

Which is a version of the same complaint I have been making about the disc all year, and I notice nobody argued with me about it this time.
The box set is the reason I can still name every station... owning it mattered in a way streaming a playlist does not.
