The closest thing is the aerial pull back during the character switch, and the altitude is unknown so it gives you a shape without a scale.
Shape without scale is precisely the problem. You can tell the city has a rough footprint and you cannot tell how many minutes across it is.
You are not wrong. Every sequence is cut and there is no continuous traversal of a measurable distance anywhere in the footage. I looked for the same thing.
