Is it normal to be this excited about a game

Slightly embarrassing question. I have never preordered anything before and I have never counted down to a release.

I have watched the extended look about nine times and I have read basically this entire forum. Is this a normal amount of anticipation or have I lost perspective? Genuinely asking because I have nothing to compare it to.
