Is Ultimate worth 20 more, from someone who already bought it

Preordered Ultimate in June and I have been going back and forth on whether I actually needed to.

What you get: five or so extra vehicles, some weapons and cosmetics, and a handful of businesses that come with side missions layered through the story. The businesses are the part I keep landing on. Extra vehicles are cosmetic, but content attached to progression is different.

Also worth knowing you can upgrade any time later, so nobody has to decide now.

The upgrade path being open the whole time is the thing more people should know. There is no reason to buy Ultimate now unless you want it locked in. Buy Standard, play twenty hours, decide then.

Twenty dollars for content layered into the story is a fine deal. Twenty dollars for five cars is not. Same twenty dollars lol

Should add: the extras unlock as you progress through chapters rather than all at once, which I did not know when I bought it.

As a completionist the businesses are the part that would get me. Anything with side missions attached is something I will feel obliged to finish.

That is the right call for a first GTA honestly. Get the game, see if you like it.
