Does anyone still have the 2002 strategy guide

Following on from the guide thread. Mine went in a house move about fifteen years ago and I have thought about it more than is reasonable since.

It had the map as a fold out poster. Not a screenshot, a drawn map, with the districts labelled. I had it on a wall for about two years.

Asking partly out of nostalgia and partly because I think that object is the reason I can still draw that city from memory, and I wonder whether anything in a modern release does that job.

an object you can put on a wall is why you can draw that city and cannot draw los santos. thats the entire answer to a question this forum has been circling for months

The fold out map is the thing. Not the walkthrough, which I never read. The map, on a wall, for two years, absorbed by osmosis.

I had the magazine rather than the guide and it did the same job... four screenshots and a map, looked at for months.

Mine survived. Loft, box, torn along a fold. Somebody else in the guide thread made me go and look and I had not seen it in fifteen years.

There is no modern equivalent and there is not going to be. The in game map is searchable, which is exactly why it never becomes furniture lol

Somebody will print one in December and sell it and it will be very expensive and I will probably buy it lol

The memorability thread from July concluded that ownership makes a place stick. This is the same argument about a poster, and it is stronger.
