There is a stretch of road in the early section and I am fairly sure it comes back much later from the opposite direction, with different weather and a different time of day.
If that is right it is a nice bit of editing and it also gives us two views of the same geometry, which is the closest thing to a fixed reference anyone has found for the scale question.
This is what this forum is for and it started as somebody noticing a road looked familiar.
Two views of the same geometry gives you shape but still not scale, unless something in both frames has a known size. Is there a vehicle in both?
You are right, it does. Same stretch of road, opposite direction, different time of day. I had it flagged and had not worked out what to do with it.

A sign in two frames from opposite directions is the best lead this question has had. I withdraw my previous position that there was nothing usable in the footage.
There is a road sign in both, which is at least a standardised object even if we do not know this world's standard.
same road twice with different weather is also two chances to read the same shop signs, which is why i noticed it
different time of day on the same street is also the best evidence we have that the lighting system is doing a full cycle rather than baked setups
