How are people handling this at work

Practical problem I had not thought about until this week.

I can control my own feeds. I cannot control the person at the next desk who has already played it saying something across the room on November 20. There is no mute button for a colleague.

My plan is to say something in advance, politely, to the three people most likely to do it. Which feels slightly ridiculous and is probably still the correct move. Has anyone actually done this successfully?

I did exactly this before RDR2 and it worked. Two people, asked once, no drama. The third one forgot and said something anyway, which is the realistic outcome you should plan for.

Asking politely in advance works better than people expect. Most of them have something they feel the same way about.

The people who will actually ruin it are the ones who do not know you care, which is why saying it once beforehand is worth the small awkwardness.
