every rockstar map needs one unsolvable mystery and we do not know where this one is yet

mount chiliad had a mural and a decade of people flying jets into it at 3am. red dead had its own set of things people are still arguing about.

the point of these is not that they have answers. the point is that a map needs somewhere that feels like it is keeping something from you. a map you can fully account for is just a level.

so where is it going to be here. my money is on the swamp because water hides things and because i want it to be the swamp

With scuba diving confirmed as an activity, there is now a reason to build something underwater that a player can actually reach. That is new for this series.

Water is the right instinct. It hides things by default and it makes searching slow, which is what you want.

The mechanism that makes them work is that they have to be findable but not resolvable. Something you can stand in front of and still not understand.
