Preload and launch logistics, what is actually confirmed vs what people keep repeating

Getting a lot of the same questions so here is the state of it.

Confirmed: preload opens November 12. Physical copies ship from the 12th as well, and they are a code in a box, not a disc.

Not confirmed: install size, and the unlock hour. Store listings imply local midnight but Rockstar has not said it. Plan for 150 to 200 GB free if you want to be safe, and treat anything more specific as a guess.

Anything I have wrong, correct me and I will edit.

One correction to my own post that I will fold in: the free GTA+ month is only on digital preorders through the PlayStation and Microsoft stores. Retailer preorders do not include it. The Vintage pack you get either way.

Worth adding that the code in a box thing means if you are buying physical as a gift, the person still needs to download the whole thing. Learned that the hard way with another game.

Pure estimate based on comparable releases. Rockstar has published nothing. I would rather people clear too much space than too little.
