How do I stop reading this forum

Half joking. I have read essentially all of it and I now know an enormous amount about a game I have not played, made by people I have never met, in a series I have never touched.

Someone here told me weeks ago to go in without a checklist and I think the same advice applies to this. But I do not want to leave either, because this has genuinely been the best part of the last month. How do people who have done this before handle the last stretch?

The thing you are describing is exactly what I do with checklists and I have never once managed to stop. Taper is better advice than anything I have.

You do not stop. You taper. I have done this before three launches and going cold turkey never works because the anticipation has to go somewhere.

What works is replacing it. Pick something to do in November that is not this and not the game, and the last three weeks become much easier.

Rationing worked for me. I put the footage away and I stopped rereading the same threads... it is the same instinct as saving the last chapter of a book.

Also worth saying: you have not done anything wrong. Knowing a lot about a game you have not played is a completely normal thing that this hobby does to people.
