My final answer on going dark, after a year of getting it wrong

This is the last time I post about this, I promise.

What I got wrong all year: I thought avoidance was a filtering problem. It is a surface area problem. Every improvement I made came from being in fewer places, not from being better at screening the places I was in.

What actually works, in order of effect: watching official material on Rockstar's own site rather than the video platform, because there is no recommendation wall. Unsubscribing rather than muting. Leaving two platforms entirely. Telling three colleagues in advance. Going off this forum from the 18th.

What does not work: muted words, filters, willpower, and telling yourself you will just look at one thread.
