October is going to be the hardest month and I do not think people expect it

September has the reveal still echoing. November has the game. October has nothing, and that is the problem.

An empty month eleven weeks out is when people go looking. It is when the leak accounts get their traffic, when the speculation videos get made, and when somebody who has held out for three years decides that one thread cannot hurt.

I have watched myself do exactly this before two previous launches. The danger is not the week of release. The danger is the quiet month when you are bored and the game is close enough to feel real.
