Modern day was the right call and it took me three years to admit it

When Trailer 1 dropped I was quietly gutted. I wanted the neon and the pastel and V-Rock blasting while I drove a Cheetah down Ocean Drive in 1986. That is my whole teenage years in one image.

But watching the Extended Look I kept thinking, the joke does not work in the 80s anymore. The influencer stuff, the livestream in the trunk, the app that scans your car so you can steal it. None of that lands in a period piece. They are making fun of right now, and right now is a lot funnier and a lot bleaker.

Still want a V-Rock equivalent though.
