Eleven weeks, and something I have not said out loud here
I was twenty when the first Vice City came out. I am forty four now.
I have a daughter who is older than I was then. She watched the reveal with me and asked why I went quiet, and I did not have a good answer at the time. I have thought about it since.
It is not that I want to be twenty again. It is that there is a version of that city in my head that has been sitting there for twenty four years, unchanged, and in November somebody is going to hand me a new one and the old one will start to fade. That is a real loss even though the new one will be better.
I am looking forward to it. I just wanted to say the other part somewhere.
