A reading list for anyone who just joined and wants to catch up without getting spoiled

We are getting a lot of new accounts and the archive here is four hundred threads deep, so here is what I would actually read.

The official character bios and the region descriptions. That is the whole factual foundation and it takes twenty minutes.

The editions and preorder breakdown, because that is the only thing you have to make a decision about before November.

That is genuinely it. Everything else on this forum is analysis, argument and speculation, and none of it is required. If you want to go in clean you can stop right there and be perfectly informed.

The point about none of it being required is the important one. This forum can make you feel like you are behind on homework for a game that does not exist yet.

Would add the region descriptions specifically. They are six short paragraphs and they are the only thing that tells you what the game is actually about geographically.

Twenty minutes of official material and one preorder decision. That is a genuinely useful framing and it is the opposite of what most catch up guides do.

Already in there, but agreed that they deserve calling out separately. They are the most underread official material we have.
