The 2002 radio lineup was seven stations and every single one had a job
Going through this because people keep saying they want the old soundtrack back and I think they want something more specific than that.
V-Rock was the loud one. Flash FM was the pop one. Wave 103 was the cold synth one for driving at night. Fever 105 was the smooth one. Emotion 98.3 was the sad one for when the mission went badly. Radio Espantoso was the one that made the city feel like it belonged to someone other than you. VCPR was the one you left on because it was funnier than the driving.
Seven stations, seven distinct moods, and you could pick the one that matched what you were doing. That is a curation problem, not a licensing budget problem, and a hundred station soundtrack does not solve it.
