My approach is to watch Rockstar's own material once, on their channel, and then leave. The risk is never the trailer, it is the recommended videos afterwards and the comments underneath.
What is everyone else doing, and has anyone found a way to watch something without landing in a wall of reaction thumbnails afterwards?
Full screen and then close before the end card appears. The end card is where the recommendations live.
Watch it, close the tab, do not scroll. The entire risk is in the ninety seconds after it ends, when the platform is trying to keep you there.
Different people want different things out of the same object and both are fine. This thread is for one of them.
Watching on the official site rather than the video platform removes the recommendation wall entirely. Rockstar hosts their own material and nobody uses it.
That is the answer and I feel slightly foolish for not having thought of it. Their own site has no algorithm attached.
