Has anyone actually tried to reconstruct the coastline from the aerial shots

Two aerial passes in Trailer 2 and one in Trailer 1. Between them you can see a decent chunk of shoreline.

What I cannot work out is whether the barrier island in the Trailer 1 pass is the same landmass as the one in the second Trailer 2 pass. The bridge geometry looks different but the sun angle is completely different too, which changes how the causeway reads.

Anyone with better eyes than me had a go at this?

Coming to this late but the honest answer is that you cannot reconstruct a coastline from three aerial shots taken at unknown altitudes with unknown lenses. Everyone who has tried has produced a map that matches their own assumptions.

I have tried and I gave up. The sun angle problem you describe is the killer. The causeway pylon spacing looks different but that could entirely be focal length, and we do not know the focal length.

The bridge geometry question is a good one though. Whatever that causeway is, it is a big piece of infrastructure and those tend to be landmarks.
