What do we actually know about how Jason and Lucia meet

Both bios reference the other person. Hers says nothing about him directly. His says meeting her may be the best or the worst thing that ever happened to him.

What I cannot find anywhere is any statement about when or how that meeting happens, or whether it has already happened when the game starts. Those are very different games. If they meet in the first hour you are playing a relationship forming. If they have been together five years you are playing one under pressure.

Has anything official addressed this?

That is the most interesting version. He waits, or he does not, and the game opens on the consequence.

Nothing official. The best or worst thing to happen to him is past tense phrasing, which weakly supports the relationship already existing at the start, but bios are written retrospectively about the whole game so I would not lean on the tense.

Every trailer has them together and functioning as a unit. Nothing has shown a first meeting. If they were going to show a meet cute they would have, it is the easiest thing in the world to cut a trailer around.

The prison material complicates it slightly. If she has been inside then there is a before and an after, and he could be either side of it.

nothing official at all. and the fact that both bios talk about the other person without saying when suggests to me that its already happened when the game opens
