How big is Vice City going to feel on foot rather than in a car

Everyone measures maps in driving time and it is the wrong unit for a city.

Los Santos was large but it was designed around driving. The interesting question for a city that is twice that size is whether there are districts where walking is the intended way to move. Ocean Beach and Little Cuba both read like pedestrian places from the material.

Has anyone seen anything that suggests the design accounts for that, or is it going to be another city you drive four blocks in?

Counterpoint from the car side: a city built for walking is a city with narrow streets and that is bad for chases. There is a real tension there and I want to see how they solve it.

That tension is probably the answer to your Trailer 2 handling question from the other thread. Tight streets need a car that rotates.

Ocean Beach and Little Cuba both read pedestrian to me too. Rockstar described Little Cuba around bakeries, which is a walking scale detail, not a driving one.

The Stockyard is the strongest evidence. A street art district only works if you can be close enough to look at the walls, and that means walking speed.
