What are people realistically expecting from the Extended Look

Trying to set expectations before the 27th so nobody has a meltdown.

My read on the phrase extended look is that it means gameplay footage with narration, not a trailer. Rockstar has used similar language before for gameplay reveals rather than cinematic ones.

What I do not expect: a release time, an Online announcement, a PC date, or performance specifications. What I do expect: the map, the systems, and the tone.

Where is everyone else landing?

Broadly where you are. I would add that I expect them to show the map without showing the map, meaning region names and vistas but no overview shot. They have never given away the full map before a launch.

My only hope is that it is not all city. Forty minutes of Vice City would technically be a great showing and would tell us nothing about five sixths of the game.

Realistically we get systems. Wanted level, driving, one combat sequence, and a montage of activities. That is the standard shape of these.
