Trailer view records are a bad metric and this forum keeps quoting them as evidence
Trailer 1 took the twenty four hour record. Trailer 2 took it again with a much bigger number across all platforms. The Extended Look did thirty one million on a streaming service in four days and topped their chart in most countries.
All of that is true and none of it tells you anything about the game. View counts measure anticipation, distribution and platform mechanics. They are a measure of how well a marketing department did, not of what shipped.
I am not being sour. I am saying that when someone uses a view count as an argument in a thread about whether the game will be good, that is not an argument.
