The Tulip is a 72 Chevelle and the proportions are finally right

Been comparing the Trailer 1 shots to the Extended Look and the Declasse Tulip has clearly been reworked. The greenhouse is shallower, the rear quarter kicks up more, and the stance sits lower without looking slammed.

Also the way the body loads up in a corner now. In V everything rotated around a point somewhere near your belly button. This looks like weight is actually moving over the outside front wheel. They said they have real drivers on the handling team and honestly you can see it.

The stance change is real. I went back and compared the same three quarter angle and the ride height dropped noticeably while the wheel arch gap stayed proportional, which means they rescaled the body rather than just lowering it.

Agreed on the weight transfer. There is a moment around the middle of the chase section where the front outside tire visibly deforms under load. That is not a shader trick.

I do not think sim is the risk. They have race drivers consulting, not engineers building a simulator. The goal is going to be arcade that behaves plausibly, which is what RDR2 did with horses.

The Chevelle comparison is right and the fact that they kept it as the hero car across three years of marketing says something about how much they like it.

if the handling is too sim it is going to suck for chases though. nobody wants to fight understeer with six stars on them
