In defense of the sad parts of the map

Everyone wants to live in Ocean Beach. Nobody wants to admit the best hours you will spend in this game are in a dead strip mall parking lot in Port Gellhorn at 3am with a dirt bike and nothing to do.

The run down coast is where GTA has always been at its best. Sandy Shores. Blaine County. The whole point is contrast. You cannot appreciate the skyline if you have never been somewhere with a boarded up water park in it.
