1986 was a great year for me
Now I am winding myself up again
I want this so badly that I am refusing to think about it in case it does not happen...
I felt exactly this in 2002 waiting for the first one... and then I did not think about the waiting again for twenty four years until now.
I found my guide the same way, in a loft, in a box... there is something about that specific box that everyone our age has.
I watched it with my son and he asked me the same question... I said it was the graphics, which was a lie, and I have felt slightly bad about it since.
My Vice City disc still works too... there is something about that which is hard to explain to people who have only ever downloaded things.
I have done exactly the same thing and I thought I was being strange about it... rationing is the right word.
You are going to be fine... and if you are not, you will have been part of something anyway, which is most of what this is for.
Three clothing places and a salon in the business list tells you somebody made the case for this internally... that is not free.
I have not gone back and I am not going to... I would rather keep it as the thing it was for three years.
The engraved revolvers being described as his and hers is the other detail... they are dressing Jason and Lucia in a callback to a guy who worked alone. That is a joke and a tribute at once.
There is something lovely about wanting the list finished before it becomes easy... that is the whole hobby really.
Photo mode is going to consume my entire first playthrough and I have accepted this
That is a lovely thought actually. The buildings survived the twenty four years better than the rest of it did.
Dormant since San Andreas which is a very long time to leave a system in a drawer... good to have a reason to think it is back.
The 2002 game was never quiet for a second... there was always a station on. This being able to be quiet is the biggest change of all of them.
Station names and hosts have always come late... I have made peace with waiting and I am lying about that.
The 2002 game had one piece of music per space and it was the same volume everywhere... this is a completely different craft.
The fold out map is the thing. Not the walkthrough, which I never read. The map, on a wall, for two years, absorbed by osmosis.
Mine survived. Loft, box, torn along a fold. Somebody else in the guide thread made me go and look and I had not seen it in fifteen years.
